Fort Edmonton Park

We had a fun little family day on Monday - decided to take in the Fort Edmonton Park opening weekend. That was a little interesting, let me tell you! We got there shortly after it opened, and we still had a 1-hour wait in line. The boys did so well, though - have food, will be happy. They played with other kids in the line, played on trees, and were overall very well-behaved.

We finally got on the train to go to the Fort (the first part of the Park) just before noon. As soon as we unloaded, of course it was time for lunch. So we ate. :)

Normally, the boys nap around 1:00-1:30, till around 4:00-4:30. However, we decided we'd try and stretch them a bit... and stretch them we did. We stayed there until 4:00!! They didn't have their usual over-tired meltdowns, though, thankfully - but Dustin was asleep in the van before we even got out of the parking lot!

Feeding a horsie - I'm not sure if we were supposed to do that, but the horse didn't seem to mind!

Hangin' out while waiting for Daddy to bring ice cream:

YUM!!

Me? Messy? YAH!

At the free Penny Carnival:

Note how there is no actual evidence that I was even there... I guess we can chalk this up to another 'hat' mamas wear - photographer!
